Frankiegfromthenyc wanted me to share this little poem with you this morning. He works with a lady who recently lost her mother. The mother read the poem everyday and now in memory the daughter reads it daily. She shared this with Frank, he shared with me, and so progresses the circle. Death is a hard thing for us to deal with and y'all pray for Frank's co-worker, but if someone dies who loves Jesus, then we should rejoice, for they are with Him now. They are no longer hurting and no longer subject to the woes and fears of this world. And what a great Christmas present.....to spend it with the One who brought us Christmas. Enjoy this poem.
It's in the Valleys I Grow
Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.
If I always stayed on the mountaintop
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.
I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometime I need mountaintops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.
I do no not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.
My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.
Forgive me Lord for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a little reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.
Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.
Thank you for the valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountaintops are glorious
But it's the valleys I grow!
Frank, thanks for sharing. I hope all enjoyed this.
Merry Christmas and everybody have a Blessed Day!!!
