Attitude of Gratitude

What is up with this weather? I heard someone say it is hard to get in the Christmas spirit with these warm temps? What exactly is the Christmas spirit? I think it is probably the memories, the gifts, and the giving. Question this morning - can you experience this spirit all year long? I believe you can and as Christians I think we are called to always model this. An attitude of gratitude explains it best. Christmas is just the time of the year that we celebrate the most awesome gift ever....Christ Jesus.

The gift of the Christ child is followed up with the gift of the salvation through the cross. Jesus is like the gift that keeps on giving, except He gives eternally if you accept Him.

This year at Christmas make it a priority to share this gift with someone who needs it. It only takes a little effort to make a difference in someones life. Try being nice for starters and being happy is always a plus.

John 3:16 is a verse everyone knows, and its simplicity is hard to grasp for the nonbeliever, but that is what we are called to tell everyone. I like the way the Message translation reads on this one. I also included vs 17.
16 "This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. 17 God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again
John 3:16-17 (MSG)

So get out there and spread the Christmas reason and have fun doing it. We have all the right in the world to be happy and extend a helping hand.

Have a Blessed Day!!!
