Don't have time to rev up the brain this morning, so I want to leave you with this quote that Dad shared with me. It has to do with Religion. Side note.......I very much dislike religion and I don't see the need for it. Why can't we just all be Christians or better yet Jesus Freaks. Back to the quote......"Religion will either burn up on the way down or fall off on the way up." What do you think? I love it and the simple truth it embodies is great. From what I can gather about Heaven there won't be a Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, or Pentecostal sections, only Heaven.
So let us be mindful of this and remember that we are all on the same team. Just love Jesus and strive daily to become more Christ-like.

Michael, You are influencing a lot of "us" out in the real world. Not having time to "rev up" is being part of a Christian, or so I think. Think what it must be like to be a full-time preacher...we always expect them to be "reved up"...so where's their down time or whose door do they knock on when they have a problem? I can say that because I expected my pastor to have the answer, when really it was just a phone call away and evidently my fingers were broken - because I didn't call and check on this person.
AND this hum-drum life you are living - what gives here - that's for you to change. Instead of me (really me I'm talking about) worrying about who is getting ahead, I have to make sure, like your scripture said, to help others get ahead. YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS - because we have talked about that.
Keep being the "Jesus freak" you are, telling others about Him. Your mission may not be in Africa - it could be on the streets of Washington - skid row somewhere - or the lady/man behind / in front of you at the store - or this hum-drum life you're living. Truly be careful for what you are praying for - you must may get it.....and them some.
Keep the faith....gotta go my spoon just got baptized in my venison stew (and I don't know where this plumbing spoon has been!!!!!!).
