What Do You Want To Be?

Last night Sid and I went to cut grass. He is turning into such a good helper. At 6 he can handle the riding mower pretty good. And for me, his help is very much needed. Now I can run the weed eater while he mows. And he doesn't view it as really helping because he likes to operate the lawnmower. On the way home we were talking in the truck about what he wants to be when he grows up, and he really amazed me. He said that he wants to be a singer so he can get on the radio to tell others about Jesus through a song. I swelled up a little bit. He sang me a few songs that he made up to the tune of Casting Crowns song Who am I. He is constantly amazing me at his innocent understanding of Jesus.

All I pray is that I continue to be the teacher, role model, and influence that he and Lillie need. And I thank God everyday for allowing me to be these to His children that He has entrusted to Lori and I to raise.

Have a Blessed Day!!!
