Six Years Later

It is hard to believe that it has been six years since the horrible events took place in New York. I remember exactly where I was and it was the most surreal day I have experienced to date. I was working as a rep in Lowe's and I remember everyone was just walking around in a slumber. And then as the days passed it was evident that we were joined as a nation.

But just like all good things....they never last. Now we are a country that doesn't even look the same. I am not saying that war was the right decision, but I am a firm believer that once you decide to do something........you do it. And I believe that we look like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the world. The way we bicker and fight among ourselves and thanks to the media the whole world can watch. This includes the people we are fighting. Just think of the message we would send if we were as united as we were on September 12, 13, etc. of 2001. This little blogger from Belton, SC isn't making a new revelation, but just think for a minute about what I just mentioned.

The same could be said of the church. We are no where near where they were in Acts 2. We argue and split and have secret meetings. Think what a message we could send the lost if we would come together as the Body of Christ. If we take our self out of the picture and put the lost in our place, think how we could change the world. The message that we have is one of love and peace and we are called to share it.

Just some thoughts this morning on our current situation as a country and a body of believers.

Have a Blessed Day!!!
