The book I'm reading right now has opened my eyes and really stretched me. The Holy Discontent as I stated yesterday is a book by Bill Hybels and it is a must read. It talks about finding your Holy Discontent, fueling it, and doing something about it.
The whole book is based on those who have a Popeye moment. You remember when Popeye would say after a long time of watching something he didn't like or taking some abuse he didn't deserve......He would stand up and say "I've had all I can stands, and I can't stands no more", then he would squeeze open a can of spinach and it was on like a pot of neck bones.
The book shows how God can use the weakest vessel to accomplish His will. And the neat thing is that He always fuels them up with Holy Discontent and waits on their Popeye moment and then God shines. Look at Moses, Nehemiah, Mother Teresa, Billy Graham, just to name a few.
So this morning what is your Holy Discontent? What are you passionate about and what are you gonna do about it? Think about it today and if you have a chance to get the book (Lifeway Christian Books has it), it will challenge you.
Have a Blessed Day!!!
