This past weekend Lori and I attended a marriage retreat at Look Up Lodge with 8 other couples from our church. Greg Boone the executive director at camp was our leader and he is an excellent speaker. There was as much on the gospel as there was on marriage. It was a great time in spite of the men being in one cabin and the women in the other. I always enjoyed camp, I just don't remember the beds being that small. It really was a mountaintop experience and I know that all who attended took something away from it.
One of the verses he shared that really impacted me was Romans 12:2:
2 And do not be conformed to this world , but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 (NASB)
We talked at length about the transformation that occurs when we become a new creature in Christ and the renewing our our minds. He laid it out in a way that I have never really thought of. He really pushed me even further out of the box than I already am in my thinking. And I am fired up and ready to go. It is my prayer that God will continually and consistently push me, pull me, stretch me, and lead me. I want to stay in His will. Where are you this morning? Are you in His will or yours?
Have a Blessed Day!!!
