Mama Huck

I am happy to report this morning that my Grandmother "Mama Huck" has graduated to Heaven. She has been in that glorious city since Saturday night and I am so excited for her. I know that she is at the feet of Jesus and worshipping the only living God because of these verses from Luke:

42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" 43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
Luke 23:42-43 (NASB)

I honestly don't know how the non-believers handle death? But for us as Christians it is a time of celebration and the promise that they are in a better place. Sure we will miss Mama Huck, but she has won the prize and I know she would want us to rejoice with her. And as Sid told my sister yesterday, we will see her again when we get to heaven.

Have a Blessed Day!!!

So sorry for your loss! But, happy that you can rejoice in the fact the your grandmother is "Home"! I don't know how people who don't have that hope handle death. It must be extremely hard. In Him,

Good morning, I pray that you and your family find peace in the memories of your grandmother. We know what she's up to - she's sitting with God and they are so happy to have her.

I apologize for not reading your postings daily, but so glad to catch up. Maybe the answer to your prayer situation is to start a Sunday morning prayer warriors group. Found out yesterday that our church's group has been meeting for 10+ years. Funny how we stary around the same number of disciples.....

Read an article on being a servant - which is what we all put on our application of life, right? In the days of Christ, it was customary to have someone at the door to wash a person's feet when entering the household. (So I am told). But, at the upper room - there wasn't anyone - and this one said to himself, I'm not going to do this, as did the next...if he's not, then I'm not, but Christ did. Gives a new meaning to be a servant.

I read the story on the marbles which is a much better use than mine (keep them frozen for alarm clock purposes). Think I will give this as a present to my daughter for her birthday.

Have a blessed day and celebrate your grandmother.
